11:00 am Friday 8/18/2005
Our appointment tomorrow is scheduled for 11:00 am. This means it will probably happen around 2:30 or 3:00.
Actually, our first appointment was at 11 and we got in around 12, so you just never know.
We’ll post an update tomorrow. Most of you - those in the states at least - should know not too long after you get up. Lucky you that we are 7-10 hours ahead!
We are such a mixture of emotions - hope, excitement, anticipation, dread, fear, doubt, and so on. Our desire is that we will keep our eyes fixed on the Lord and not allow the atmosphere at the NAC affect us. Furthermore, we wish to bring God glory regardless of the outcome, and when you desire something as much as we desire this, that becomes quite challenging. God is good, faithful, trustworthy, and worthy of all praise and honor regardless of what happens at our appointment tomorrow. “I believe! Lord, help my unbelief!”
When we went for our second appointment, I felt like Daniel in the lion’s den. But through a series of miracles, it worked out. Go in there knowing that you are following your call. Go knowing that love prevails.
My prayers are with you as you search for your new child.
My prayers are with you! I am feeling all the same emotions for you! May the LORD bring you your child.
If you have time please keep Madeline in your prayers. See blog for details.
I’ve been checking your blog since the wee hours of the morning to see if there’s any updates yet. I pray that today is the day you met your child!
Here’s to hoping that you are having too much fun with your new child(ren) to post and let us know how things went!
I am DYING of suspense! I’m in New York on vacation and kept refereshing the screen before I left the hotel room. All day I just kept thinking about you guys and shooting little prayers up to God. We went to church at Times Square Church tonight(where David Wilkerson used to pastor from the Cross and the Swithblade movie if you are familiar with it). Anyways it has such an awesome Spirit this church. So alive and so real. All of the scriptures they read, I kept wishing you guys were there to be encouraged. I couldn’t wait to finally get back to the hotel room. You guys are totally loved, even by people you’ve never met
and I just know that God is going to bless you and He will be glorified through you’re faith in the fiery trials you’re going through. When we do what God has told us to do, sometimes the enemy hits us hard, BUT….. when we hold on to His promises and His word HE IS GLORIFIED! Oh I pray that you will finally post and say, “But I have trusted in Thy loving kindness; My heart shall rejoice in Thy salvation. I will sing to the Lord for He has dealt bountifully with me”!!Psalms 13:5-6
