Happy New Year Twitter Practice 1/3/2008
You are now about to get a month’s worth of posts all at once. Lucky you!
Happy New Year to all our family and friends! (Hey, I’m only 2 days late to the program.)
All looks good for CI candidacy. Bilateral surgery scheduled for Feb. 21.
Sleep deprivation stinks! (e.g. Sophie was up from 1:30 until 5 am two nights ago)
Merry Christmas to all our family and friends! (Ok, pathetically late on that one.)
It was a wonderful first Christmas for Sophie and a magical Christmas for Adelina.
Welcome to Lucy Avalene Ivy born December 19, 2007 to Steve’s brother Bob, and his wife, Suzy.
Sophie is settling in. Addy is occasionally okay with having a new sister.
Sophie had an MRI under anesthesia. Went smoothly. We then wheeled her to her CT scan.
CT Scan was a no-go because Sophie woke up too stinkin’ fast. Ugh. Must reschedule.
Signed Sophie up for swim classes (Mom & Tot type). Should be fun.
Had to cancel swim class last month. Turns out poor Sophie had giardia. Ew!
Addy is loving her gymnastics class, and like all athletics, she seems to be a “natural”.
Just today she seems to have mastered her bike without the training wheels. Go Adelina!
I’m self-imposing Twitter’s 140 character limit to see if it will help me post more often. Do you want my usual lengthy rambling posts infrequently, or shorter, less dramatic, but more frequent updates? In the case of the latter, posts might be short, one-sentence statements like those above. Tell me what you think! and Thanks!
Jodi,
So happy to see an update to your blog. I like the wordier posts, but, hey, whatever works for you is best. What I would really like is to see some new pictures.
I like the quick updates. but I would be dissapointed if I didn’t get the feelings behind what’s going on about every third post or so.
Oooh, it doesn’t matter how you post, I just love reading your updates!
If this will make it easier for you to post more frequently then do it although I have to agree with the previous reply that your long posts are kinda nice to read, too!
Maybe do regular short ones and occasionally, for important events/updates do the longer ones?
Oh, and YES!! We’d LOVE to see new pictures
I don’t think there are any from after bringing Sophie home! (not on the links that I have, anyway)
Happy new year, Ivy family!
Lots of Quick Twitters and when you can, long, beautiful, story-book posts!!
This link will take you to some of my pics of our time in Russia! Sophie’s quite a gal!!
oops! Here’s the link: http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareConfirm.jsp?collid=535185732209
I just stumbled across your blog. How old was your daugher when you adopted her? We have adopted one child and are not on our way to adopt her biological sibling. It’s very encouraging to me to know that there are other parents out there going through some of the same struggles. Check out my blog at http://ushersmom.blogspot.com/
Glad to know you!
Wow, congrats on Sophie! Can you tell I haven’t read in awhile? How old is she?
Oh, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for posting the new pictures!!! LOVE THEM!!!
Hey, are you all alright? I haven’t heard from you in a while, and you haven’t posted recently. Is everything okay?
