Jodi - I just came across your blog.....the caption when I was searching for Ukraine Adoption Blogs caught my eye, because I also adopted a litle girl from Berzerka Orphange and she too has severe hearing loss. At the time we adopted Katie, Jan. 2005, she was 15 months and no one knew she had a hearing loss until we arrived home. ( not that this would have altered our decision to adopt for one minute...it was love at first sight!) I was thrilled to see some pictures of the orphanage, because at the time we were there, they were in the middle of all the wonderful renovations! The children were temporarily housed in a Children's Hospital some distance from there. Our first visit with the Orphange director was in his office, with contruction crews tearing walls down all around us, it was very
bizarre! I'd love to chat more......Katie wears bilateral hearing aids, but colear implants may be in her future....I can't wait to go back and read more of your blog!

I just checked back in to see how you're all doing. I'm so glad to hear that everyone is doing so beautifully!
Veech just had surgery #5 the day after our 2nd anniversary. Time sure flies.
We'll be praying for your Russian adoption. It's so exciting!!! We've started talking about adoption again (Veech wants to go "pick out a sister and a brother), but for now it's all just talk; there's just too much going on. Maybe in a year or so...
Love to you all!!
