And we’re off… 6/9/2006
Sorry folks, the good intentions of blogging more often just didn’t materialize into actual posts. But we are doing consistently well. Adelina is becoming more and more of a delightful little girl and we are learning how to be parents. Boy, is it hard work! Rewarding for sure, but a lot more challenging than you can really know how to prepare for.
Adelina and I are off to the John Tracy Clinic for their International Summer Session early tomorrow morning and orientation is Sunday afternoon. Steve and I are excited to see how she responds to the all oral/aural environment there. The Session is 3 weeks, and it is going to be hard to be away from Steve for so long. Thankfully, he is able to come out for Father’s Day weekend, which will be a special time for us. It’s also my birthday - yikes - those doggone birthdays just keep coming whether you want them to or not. This will be number 36. Ugh.
I will try to post while I’m there, and it is likely that I can, since we won’t have a TV to be a distraction.
So many evenings, after Adelina is in bed, I have only enough energy to veg on the couch in front of the TV. Sad but true.
Thanks for hanging in there with us.
California here we come!
