Woohooo!!!! 10/17/2005
I just got off the phone with Jodi - she’s at the orphanage right now and after a party with Adelina’s groupa will be leaving with Adelina!!! So Adelina will be spending her first night with her mom (!) tonight at the apartment, then after about a week of paperwork they’ll be headed HOME. What a thought!
Thank you God!! And thank you to everyone who has been keeping us in prayer for so long! We’re in the home stretch!
UPDATE: I called Jodi again (7:30 pm Kiev time) and Adelina was “home” at the apartment, having tea and cookies, getting ready for a bath, then bed…
Like a “real” daughter. I think I’m going to cry.

What a ride! Congratualtions!!!!! I told Jodi that I was going to call her later ‘their evening’ just to see how it feels to actually have Adelina to herself. Steve, I know you miss them!!! Hand in there, Daddy, you’ll have them home before you know it!!!!

What a tender and precious this evening will be. Years of longing to tuck your child in to bed….tonight God is fullfilling His promise.
