Jodi Speaks Her Mind

Appointment No. 3 8/17/2005

We have great news! We are on the list for our third appointment. It will be on Friday!! We do not know yet what time, as the times are not posted until the night before, but we are really thrilled we won’t have to wait for 10 days like last time.

We are fluctuating between some understandable nervousness and some real excitement that God is about to come through for us. Please pray that we can keep our eyes fixed on Him and not pay attention to what is happening around us or with anyone else’s process.

GREAT news. I’m jumpin’ up and down for you! We all understand your nervousness… we’re nervous for you! But, God is good. I pray that this is THE ONE. I can just feel it. Thanks for hanging in there. You guys are a true inspiration to many of us. Enjoy the next two days.

Whoo hoo! I am so glad to hear you’ve gotten a 3rd appointment. I know this process has been a roller coaster you never expected to find yourself on again, but I’m sure once you are done you’ll look back fondly and say “what a ride”!! Best of luck to you both!

Jodi and Steve,

Keep in mind that some children who are not available for adoption can be made available. To make our daughter available, we had to get her grandmother to sign a release paper, then have the child declared abandoned in court. This involved a lot of leg work and a waiting period, even before the adoption hearing. However, it was so worth it for us. (She’s a happy, healthy child.)

I am not suggesting that you take this route, I’m just letting you know that it’s a possibility.

Wishing you all the best,
Colleen
