Appointment Letter Submitted 4/4/2005
Our appointment letter was successfully submitted this morning at the NAC. This means we should know in 2-4 weeks when our appointment will be.
We are getting there one slow but sure step at a time!
Adoption Process – Week 34 4/1/2005
Well, our big news for the week is here. The letter arrived last Saturday. Since then we have sent off our response letter to the NAC which requests an appointment date. We were instructed to request an appointment in the second half of 2005 or 2006. We asked for July or August, but we have heard of appointments being issued as late as October thru December. Still, we are praying for God’s perfect timing whether it be May or November. We want the child meant for us! We want our LT!!

There is talk among the Ukraine adoption community that the NAC Director has basically “received notice” and it is now just a matter of days or weeks before she leaves and a new director takes over. As a result, there is minor speculation about whether or not we are wise to ask for our appointment from the current administration, or if it might be to our benefit to hold our request for a week or so and submit it under the new administration. We are basically leaving the decision in the hands of our facilitation team. We trust them to know what is best for us. The translator will be going on Monday to submit our letter if she can be seen and if she feels it is expedient to do so. Please pray that she will have favor in terms of being seen, as well as wisdom and direction from the Lord to know what is best for us in this situation.
