Steve threw me a hum-dinger of a surprise birthday party last night. He tells about it here. And, no, I didn’t suspect a thing! Heartfelt thanks to Steve and everyone who helped and came to the party for making this a very special birthday! It’s great to feel loved! :-)

 
 

Rediscovering an old love 6/15/2003

It only took 20 minutes of sloppy play to remind me how much I love the sport of Ultimate Frisbee! And now that I’ve been running to build up endurance I may actually have a chance at playing without making a complete idiot of myself (I will of course make a mediocre idiot of myself, but that’s acceptable.) ;-)

I’m off to play this evening despite the heat (pushing 110 degrees today). Aside from going to one practice this past thursday, I haven’t played this game in about 11 years! So far, it’s like riding a bike - you don’t forget how to do it, but your body reminds you that you aren’t as young as you feel. ;-)
