long overdue… 2/6/2002
Finally, almost a month later… I got my MacWorld SF 2002 pictures! Aside from the obvious highlights of the expo itself, my personal high point was getting to meet Jim Roepcke in person! Jim and Steve (my hubby) met for the first time (face-to-face) in Atlanta in 1999 but have known one another through various development communities for several years prior to that. A year or so ago Jim and I started chatting online and getting to know each other. I’ve since chatted with his wife and little girl, too! 
Anyhow, Jim was kind enough to pick up my traveling companion and me at the airport in San Jose and taxi us into the city (and back again). We also had a grand time at a cozy Thai restaurant on thursday evening. Awesome eats!
Jim is now moving back to Victoria, so I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet him and hang out with him while he was still in the states. Here is a picture of us in front of the hotel I stayed at with my friend.
