Where to call home? 12/30/2001
We are currently in Virginia visiting over the holidays with family and good friends. It has been a wonderful time. We especially enjoyed the extra time with our two baby nieces, Caroline and Julia. They are so beautiful, and I feel so blessed to know them. Every time they smile or giggle at me I just melt.
It has been less than 2 months since I left here, so in many ways it has just felt like we are “home”. Yet at the same time we have a new life in Arizona - friends, co-workers, a new church, I start a new job on wednesday, and so on. I really find myself looking forward to going “home” tomorrow. It’s almost as if for right now, both places feel equally like home. I wonder how long before Virginia fades into the background and becomes just another place for us to visit. That sounds like a sad thing right now… but I long to hug my kitties again and sleep in my own bed. So goes life, I suppose.
