Another perk out here is the gorgeous weather! And everyone keeps telling us we arrived at just the right time. Every day I find myself saying, “What a nice day!” only to repeat the phrase the next day… and the next. I could easily get used to this!!

I am choosing to postpone any thoughts of what it will be like come June, July, August…. For right now, I’m in heaven. :-)

Ok, adjusting to a new place is no easy thing. So I’m going to try doing a short series focusing on the highlights of our new home.

First off there is a new Apple Retail Store located about 10 minutes from our house (er, apartment). This is a major bonus and of course a danger as well, but mostly it’ll be nice to have somewhere to go to feel generally happy and understood. :-) Next visit we’ll take our Titanium Powerbook (well, Steve’s) and the ibook and test out the rumors that they have an open airport network there. Mmmmm.

Well, the moment has arrived: I am leaving in about 10 minutes to head to the airport to fly to Arizona. Virginia has been my home since 1984, so it is pretty strange to be leaving. I’ve been a muddy, emotional mess for several days (weeks?) now, though, but now I finally feel peace. I’ll post more on the other side…
